ASIAN NATURE/CULTURE
This is where you can find all my initial ideas, and sketches which stimulated the design process all the way through to the creation fashion designs and illustrations, for my chosen theme of inspiration: 'Asia!'

Asia covers a very broad range of countries and traditions; my main focus was on the unique textile designs; (present and seen first hand on delicately exquisite Traditional Chinese fans/ceramics), and natural scenery present within Japan and China.
​
Each of these illustrations and paintings demonstrate a wide range of Asian cultural / traditional items; (for example; fans, cherry trees, ceramic tiles, temple based landscapes), and natural Asian Scenery.
​
To gain a better understanding of Asian culture, I visited the V & A, where a range of ancient blue/white ceramics and designs were found, along with ancient Asian inspired clothing.
These rare items were my main form of inspiration; allowed me to develop first hand sketches/illustrations, from which my fashion design ideas sprung from; influencing the structural build as well as print design, embellishments and colours of each fashion design sheet, (each of these ideas and designs are shown on this page as the project had developed, right up until my fashion designs.)
