Sophia Kyriacou

I'm Sophia Kyriacou, founder of this portfolio and web blog. I come from a Greek background, and believe it was written in my stars, and buried in the roots for me to be creative. Where I come from, sewing is a crucial part of making a living.

My family have previous experience as seamstresses and dress makers, but I want to mix it up a bit... try a bit of everything. 

​

Let me tell you a little about myself in a short story...

Throughout my years of being a student, i have learnt many skills and techniques in the Fashion design and Art business. Art and Fashion are my two passions, and will always be.

 

I took my passion for drawing and design, since the age of 8, i knew this is exactly what  wanted to do as a future career option, so took on board many different job roles that involve these subject areas. So when i was asked to pick my subjects to study on to further, it was no surprise that i knew exactly what i wanted to strive to achieve, and what i wanted to get out of the courses, i had picked from such an early age on.

Within my passion, i also found a love for edition photos and using a mix of filters to create artistic effects, using Photoshop. But i just use this as a hobby, (at the moment) in my spare time, specifically for editing and designing my Instagram posts/photos only, to make them as unique and sophisticated as possible. I now do the same for my drawings; editing and creating digital prints from them.

I passed my GCSE's and got outstanding results from them, so my teachers told me and encouraged me to try to get a place in University. But i refused, and said i wanted to study my two passions in Sixth form, followed by an apprenticeship after. (I had a strong vision for my ambition to succeed in these two areas of interest.)

​

And so at this current time i am studying C-tec Fashion/Textiles and A-Level Art at sixth form.

This blog will be purely based on my passion for Fashion and Art, nothing more and nothing less.

​

And throughout this website, I will publish each project I fully complete, along with a little story about myself/my work; (which will be present as separate tabs in the 'Home' button at the bottom of every page; just simple hover over it, and you will see all my full completed projects and ideas). And how I found the project. So you will get to learn more, and more about me as each project is released. How exciting!

Fashion and Art is my passion, and I draw/sketch and illustrate as part of my hobby, but it's not just a hobby to me; for me... it's a lifestyle. So I would be grateful if you could donate via the button below, or above, (it will also be present throughout this website and also my blog).
